A Czech court ruled on February 27 released former Syrian Kurdish leader Saleh Muslim, despite Turkey’s call for his extradition.
Muslim, the former co-chair of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party, or PYD, was arrested by Czech police on Turkey's request late on February 24 in the Czech capital.
“The court, however, ruled that Muslim had full citizenship rights as a Syrian national and was visiting Europe in an official capacity and will attend additional court hearings while within the EU....
