Culture to be made a vital element in foreign relations


The European Commission on May 10 unveiled plans to make culture a core element of the European Union’s international relations, including a new fund for boosting cultural ties with African and Caribbean countries. Some 30 million Euro (USD 40 million) have been set aside to facilitate access to culture in ACP countries during the period 2007-2013.
