Close to 45.8 million people are in some form of slavery, according to the Global Slavery Index organisation.
According to the survey, conducted by the Gallup company, more than half of the people in slavery live in only five countries out of the 167. The five countries with the most slaves are: India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan.
