China develops its first A-to-Z aircraft carrier


China is reportedly ready to launch its first aircraft carrier on December 26, to mark Mao Zedong’s birthday. This is in line with an established Chinese tradition. China’s first nuclear submarine was, likewise, launched in 1970 on December 26th.

This would be the first carrier made in China. Another aircraft carrier was built from a Ukrainian hull in 2012. China is apparently also speeding up the production of j-15 jet fighters designed for carriers.
