The issue of unaccompanied children arriving to Europe in the refugee waves is not a new phenomenon.
Even though proposals by some European governments to expel them from European soil are not being implemented, the major problem concerning the fate of these hapless children remains. This is because there does not seem to be any particular policy to protect them or to promote their future integration.
