German car manufacturer Daimler, parts maker Continental, the French Valeo, and Bury Technologies are planning to file lawsuits against Nokia’s patent licensing practices.

The campaign started by the German auto-manufacturer in March, which took the case to the European Commission to make the case that the Finnish company is imposing unreasonable charges for patents developed when it was still a mobile phone manufacturer in discriminatory terms.

The royalties in question are paid for the development of navigation systems, vehicle-to-vehicle communication and self-driving cars.
