Car manufacturers drive to Poland


Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced on October 13 that the country is courting a major new investment in the automotive industry from the United States and is also in talks with Toyota on another new project.

“We have a decision on another, big investment, American one, in the automotive sector,” Morawiecki told reporters at a press conference on Daimler's plans to build a €500m engine plant to make engines for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in south-west Poland.
