France will begin the dismantling of the so-called “Jungle” migrant camp in the northern port city of Calais on October 24. Up to 8,000 migrants are currently living at the camp.
As reported by FRANCE 24 online, the interior ministry warned that the dismantlement could set off further clashes at the camp, after violence erupted overnight on October 19 as the camp’s uncertain future became clear.
