In the early hours of Monday (02.30), a bomb exploded at the Brussels Institute of Criminology in Neder-Over-Heembeek, in norther Brussels.

The institute is linked to Belgium’s federal justice body.  Besides significant material damages, there were no casualties. There has been no official statement on what happened to the assailant(s).  Forensic analysis is ongoing.

A car rammed through three fences before detonating the bomb.

It is unclear what happened to the suspects behind the latest blast, which Belgian media said had caused “significant” damage.
