BlackBerry 10 devices have passed the security requirements asked by the US Department of Defence in order to be used by its three million employees.
The Canadian company is the first one to get approval, before its rivals Apple and Samsung, which expect to get the authorisation in the coming weeks.
The US agency approved BlackBerry's entire line of products running its new operating system, including BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 smartphones, and the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.
