The Belgian telecommunications company Belgacom and UNIZO, the Union of Self-Employed Entrepreneurs, recently concluded a structural partnership agreement for five years.
Pursuant to the terms of the agreement with UNIZO and its extensive network of entrepreneurs, the self-employed, SMEs and professionals in Flanders and Brussels, Belgacom will consult with UNIZO on the latest telecom and Internet developments, and define the ICT needs of the SME market in order to take initiatives or develop new ICT services together with the entrepreneurs' organization.
Belgacom and UNIZO will develop regional and national projects, and look for ways to inform and serve the SME market even better. A key focus area will be the cooperation on initiatives for start-ups and professional organizations.
In the framework of this agreement, UNIZO will not only switch to the Belgacom network by the end 2012 but will also equip the “House of the Entrepreneur” with the latest telecom and ICT technologies, so that its members can become more familiar with this new way of working.
