Ban on imports of captive birds extended


The European Union last week took a series of measures to extend current restrictions on imports of captive birds, poultry and feathers to prevent the spread of bird flu in the 25-nation bloc. The EU’s veterinary experts extended a blanket ban on imports of all captive live birds until the end of the year.
